PROJECT COORDINATOR OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY The Responsibility will involve coordination of implementation of project activities that will include HPV Vaccination, Cervical/Breast cancer screenings and Treatment and capacity development for health workers and community health promoters in western Kenya . Under the guidance the Manager, Plan, coordinate, and execute Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu East Africa Comprehensive Cancer Project in counties in Western Kenya region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support the overall implementation and day to day operations of the Comprehensive cancer Project (Cervical and Breast cancer screening, HPV Vaccination, Chemotherapy treatment, awareness creation on cancer and HPV Vaccination) project including planning/coordinating, field supervision to the health facility teams/community health promoters in terms of service delivery and capacity development. Support in planning, organizing and conducting trainings and capacity building and mentorship initiatives for all program supported teams including healthcare workers, Community Health Volunteers to support implementation of project activities Work with the implementing team and Program Manager to plan, construct and manage project budgets. Support the beneficiary health facilities to manage equipment, commodities and supplies inventory, ordering, and distribution of supplies. Provide technical assistance to the project on oncology activities. Ensuring robust and supportive referral practices are in place for patients suspected of having cancer; including use of guidelines, professional development, and safety netting of those referred Ensure technical rigor of program data collection, management, analysis and reporting. Collaborate with the M&E Officer and Program Manager to ensure that the quality of dashboards and reports – represent and evolve with the project. Participate in routine monitoring of mobile clinics and facility visits to identify gaps in quality assurance and ensure program goals are achieved In close collaboration with the Project Manager and M&E to ensure project related data is collected and utilized to reinforce enhancement of patient management interventions. Assess and monitor the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of cancer patients, offering support and education as necessary. Screen patients for Cervical (HPV) and Breast cancer following the latest evidence-based guidelines. Provide vaccination against human papilloma virus (HPV) to populations within the western Kenya region. Administer treatments, manage side effects, and educate patients and families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and expected outcomes. Coordinate and schedule follow-up care, screenings, and referrals to other healthcare professionals as part of a comprehensive care plan Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans Contribute to the planning and execution of cancer care programs and initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and service delivery. We consider all eligible students regardless of socio-economic status. The Academy Fellow will live in an apartment and serve the student residential programme as a Residential Parent promoting community life and are responsible for the following aspects of student and academic life. While the Academy Fellow does not teach, s/he will be scheduled to have some contact with classes, to engage fully with the learning and teaching of the Academy so that he/she can support students with additional tutoring after school hours and during residential study time. This will be approximately 10 hours a week (supporting 2 or 3 classes in a subject of the fellow/intern’s choice. Maths and Science are the areas of most need along with English as an Additional Language for our students who join on the Talent Identification Programme from marginalised communities in Kenya.) We are seeking to fill the below post within our establishment. The position holder will be based at our High School Nairobi. Position: School Bursar Role Summary. Overseeing the financial operations of the school, ensuring effective management of funds, compliance with financial regulations and accurate record-keeping. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the institution and supporting its educational objectives. Key Responsibilities Financial Management Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting standards. Lead budget specific discussions during budgeting process, including forecasting revenues and expenditures. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Conduct regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records. Managing of petty cash Enforce practices that are in line with company’s finance policies among the school staff & other stakeholders. Fee Collection and Student Accounts Ensure accurate billing of tuition and other fees, and oversee the collection process. Maintain up-to-date student financial records, including ledgers and receipts. Implement and monitor payment plans for students as necessary.
