Facilitate orderly students and Teachers’ access to books and other learning materials kept at the Library to support learning programs. Key Responsibilities Be in a position to develop programs to meet the needs, abilities and interests of learners using a range of instructional techniques and media. Manage the library on a day to day basis Provide schedules, reviewed occasionally, for library use, including evening or holiday sessions when considered necessary Develop plans and strategies for the library’s growth and improved service. · Maintain orderliness and control at all times the library is in use. Reviewing procedures as required in consideration of the security of the library resources. Carry out annual stock take Gather and disseminate to Departmental Heads, publisher’s information useful to decide future purchases and arrange displays. Visit local bookshops and exhibitions to assess purchase of new or second-hand books. Provide guidelines to newly admitted students on the proper appreciation of library resources. Develop computerized processes for library management. Attend workshops when available in Library Science, as agreed with the Head Teacher Assisting library users in utilizing the library’s E-books, Audio books and Audio-Visuals Ensuring that library books are in proper condition and are replaced in case of loss or damage. With over 1000 students, AKA, Nairobi is a multi-cultural school with a variety of nationalities represented in our student and teaching faculty. The Aga Khan Academy Mombasa is an International Baccalaureate World School. It is the first in the network of Aga Khan Academies established by His Highness the Aga Khan. The Academy features state-of-the-art facilities, a multicultural student body, and an experienced team of educators and staff. We provide students with education of the highest standard in order to prepare them for lives characterised by leadership and service. Admission to the Academy is means-blind and is based on merit. We consider all eligible students regardless of socio-economic status. The Academy Fellow will live in an apartment and serve the student residential programme as a Residential Parent promoting community life and are responsible for the following aspects of student and academic life. While the Academy Fellow does not teach, s/he will be scheduled to have some contact with classes, to engage fully with the learning and teaching of the Academy so that he/she can support students with additional tutoring after school hours and during residential study time. This will be approximately 10 hours a week (supporting 2 or 3 classes in a subject of the fellow/intern’s choice. Maths and Science are the areas of most need along with English as an Additional Language for our students who join on the Talent Identification Programme from marginalised communities in Kenya.) Developing and delivering the Service- Learning Programme which takes place every week with Years 6-10. This is a 10 hour a week commitment and requires planning the activities, working with community partners, delivering the programme to. Students and colleagues and supporting individual groups as they develop and implement their projects. Academy Fellows play a major role as Residential Parents in guiding residential students in their personal and academic goals and as Mentors for a small group of students to support them academically and socially. As residential parents fellows are expected to develop close relationships with their dorm sons/daughters by checking in with them frequently as well as supervising in an official capacity twice a week and one weekend in three. Review and proofread communications materials for grammar, style and messaging prior to publishing in electronic or print media. Ensure that communications materials adhere to the Aga Khan Academies style guide and visual identity guidelines Advise others/individual departments at the Academy on the development and production of communications materials, according the framework provided by the guidelines documents. Website Ensure that the core content on the school website is reviewed regularly and kept up to date (e.g. faculty list). Work with others at the Academy to generate news stories, including both text and images, for the website. BACKGROUND: The Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) is an Egyptian non-profit organization established in 1991 under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. OHF is the implementation agency for the Aga Khan Foundation Egypt and is an affiliate of the Aga Khan Development Network of organizations and was founded by Om Habibeh Mohamed Shah Aga Khan to contribute to and support local communities in the governorate of Aswan in areas including health care, education, and providing income for deprived communities through long-term development activities. OHF works in the following areas: Continuing Education, Civil Society, Agriculture and Food Security, Economic Inclusion, Women Empowerment and Early Childhood Development. In 2024, the Spanish Cooperation in Egypt approved the funding of "Tamkeen" Seeds of the Future Project. The project is managed and implemented by Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) in Aswan. The project will be implemented in Karkar, Kom Ombo, and Nasr El Nuba. The project aims to accelerate progress on gender equality in Egypt through strengthening the economic resilience of women in rural areas in the Governorate of Aswan by fostering climate-smart agriculture solutions. POSITION OBJECTIVES: The agronomis t will undertake the implementation of all technical activities in the targeted villages as set out in the activities plan in cooperation with the project team. He/she will also test the fertility of the soil and how well the crops can grow in different environments and places. Incumbent will ensure good technical communication in interacting with different people in the communities. The agronomist will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure solid implementation and results for the project. Moreover, the agronomist will work on raising awareness of different communities in Aswan regarding the impacts of climate change and enhancing climate resilience. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: General Tasks Orient women and facilitators about the programme. Supervise the work of the kitchen and rooftop gardens’ facilitators and assess their performance. Ensure women’ groups formation and the seasonal agric. plans are in place and with high quality. Coordinate the work of the agric. consultants with women and facilitators. Conduct village agriculture baseline and endline (farmers, crops, land … etc.). Performing any other duties assigned by the management team. Technical and Specific Task Encourage women household initiatives, facilitators and agric. committee. Conduct field visits, demonstrations and cross visits for women and facilitators to support compost home making and other agriculture initiatives. Disseminate the information on the fertilizers and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) requirements of each vegetable. Support the formation and meetings of the CSOs women agricultural committee. Promote the cultivation of the kitchen and rooftop gardens’ vegetables. Select, train, and assess the performance of KGs facilitators. Link women to outlets and marketing places. Disseminate information about vegetables among facilitators and women households. Raise awareness on the best use of modern irrigation to save water. Coordinate the work with the marketing officer and female facilitators to market the production in and outside the village. Climate Resilience Tasks: Assess the impact of climate change on agricultural production. Implement climate-resilient agricultural strategies. Execute sustainable agricultural projects and improve water resource management. Train farmers on techniques for adapting to climate change. Monitor climate conditions and provide regular reports. Raise community awareness about climate change and the importance of adaptation. Coordinate with relevant entities to implement joint programs and projects. The project is Aswan based and is open to agronomists from Aswan. -

A Fundação Aga Khan Portugal está a implementar o projeto “Palavras que Contam – Literatura Intercultural”, uma Iniciativa de Inovação e Empreendedorismo Social que conta com a Câmara Municipal de Sintra como Investidor Social e que tem como objetivo aumentar o índice de leitura entre jovens dos 13 aos 18 anos, no concelho de Sintra. Ao longo de 10 meses, cerca de 50 jovens de comunidades sub-representadas no universo editorial — em particular aquelas que não têm o português como língua materna ou de conforto — irão criar trabalhos narrativos (como novelas gráficas, entre outros formatos). A estratégia do projeto assenta na participação ativa destes jovens num ciclo oficinal de escrita e de ilustração, que culminará com a publicação das obras originais pela Editora Almedina, visando contribuir para um panorama literário mais inclusivo e representativo. A publicação destes originais será celebrada num Festival Literário a realizar em Sintra, no final do projeto. Com este fim, estamos à procura de um/a consultor - ilustrador/a com experiência educativa para dinamizar oficinas de ilustração narrativa com jovens (13-18 anos) no âmbito do projeto “Palavras que Contam”, promovido pela Fundação Aga Khan Portugal, entre setembro de 2025 e junho de 2026. Idealmente, com experiência em novela gráfica, trabalho colaborativo e em contextos multiculturais, num total de: até um máximo de 96 horas de trabalho. Funções principais da/o especialista em ilustração: Planear, implementar e avaliar, em articulação com a equipa educativa do projeto, as sessões de ilustração previstas no programa oficinal, incluindo sessões em contexto escolar e no Festival Literário; Participar nas reuniões de preparação, execução e avaliação do projeto; Disponibilizar os planos de sessão utilizados, para efeitos de relatoria; Partilhar as ferramentas educativas aplicadas, para inclusão no toolkit de disseminação e replicação do projeto; Colaborar no Festival Literário, através da conceção, dinamização e avaliação de oficinas dirigidas ao público do evento. -

Deliver individual and group counselling to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Support students’ personal development, resilience, and sense of belonging, in line with the Academies’ Learner Profile. Provide dedicated counselling and pastoral care to residential students, addressing challenges related to adjustment, homesickness, cultural transition, and interpersonal relationships. Collaborate closely with residential life staff, heads of houses, and families to ensure a safe, supportive, and nurturing boarding environment. Monitor and advocate for the mental health and welfare of residential students, coordinating referrals to external mental health professionals when necessary.
